Art Deco

Image
Here is a great example of something in an art deco fashion, with the heavy focus on geometry, bright colors, and luxury, aka the basics of any good art deco piece during the time. https://the2ndskinco.com/en/geometrical-print-trousers.html Here is another piece with a focus on decadence and geometry. The fact the material is crystal just shows the luxury, the the symmetrical and square shapes showcase Art Deco's origin in cubism. https://m.made-in-china.com/product/Modern-Indoor-Living-Room-Art-Deco-Style-Crystal-Chandelier-BL901-505PS-930478655.html This is a piece reminiscent of Leyendecker's War Bond piece, but I feel it fits more into art deco due to the bright colors and the simplification of the soldiers. It's also incredibly reminiscent of the Games' Blood Donor poster.

Early Modern

This piece is very reminiscent of the Dada movement, a mocking of high fashion in a way, with a deconstruction of what fashion means.  https://www.reckontalk.com/weird-and-funny-fashion-show-trends-part-1/ Here is a a great example of Russian Constructivism, but in architecture form. There are harsh lines and straight geometry from all different directions, looking like it was pulled directly from the artwork. https://todiscoverrussia.com/russian-constructivism-in-architecture-a-guest-in-russia/ Here is an example of a modern day surrealist take, where form doesn't follow function. It's illogical and jarring which serves it's purpose as a surrealism piece. https://www.themodernhouse.com/journal/surreal-surreal-design-objects-products-and-furniture/
